Learn To Balance Your Soil with Confidence
Our approach combines the BCRS and SLAN mineral balancing methods to help you create thriving, nutrient-rich living soil. You'll learn how to:
- Maintain the right level of soluble nutrients
- Support the total nutrient pool in your soil
- Apply these methods effectively in engineered potting soils
The ultimate goal? To give you the skills and confidence to balance your own soil—and get consistent, reliable results.
Let's Dig Into the Details
There are 5 main lessons with video training. The live courses will focus on this material and will include case studies and student data. You will have the opportunity for your soil to be reviewed and balanced in class.
We meet once per week for 3 weeks of each month. Each class runs about 3 to 4 hours each meeting.
This class runs for 3 weeks each month all year long.
The live Q&A's are at the end of each week's lesson and are recorded for your review later on.
We discuss as many crops and scenarios as we can in this class from vineyards, to orchards to hay fields to market gardening and more. We cover greenhouse production, indoor, outdoor, row crops, market garden style, large acreage, foreign countries, supply issues and anything else that you can throw at us.
We hold monthly meetings with all students past and present where you can get your questions answered live. We also have our online forum for any questions you may have in between the monthly meetings.
It is our opinion that though it is possible to learn soil balancing through just the recordings, you get the most out of this class if you attend the live classes. There is much that is discussed live that simply cannot be captured any other way than by being there in person.
If you have applied to this class and have not heard back from us on your approval, please check your spam or junk folder to make sure you haven't missed anything. If you still don't see any response, please email us at info@crescivesoil.org.

What Students Are Saying

"Soil mineral balancing had first been recommended to me as a solution to some problems I was having with my plants, and though it was a largely foreign concept at the time, I decided to give it a try. I sent in my soil sample and received my first test results, which were quite intimidating to say the least. Not having any idea what I was actually looking at, I passed off my test to a consultant, who prescribed me a recommendation.
I applied the recommended amendments, and within a week my plants began to show noticeable improvement. I was surprised at the results, especially considering how little amendments were actually added - just enough to bring the soil into balance. At this point I wanted to know more. What did all those numbers and ratios on the test actually mean, and how did simply changing the balance make such a difference? Where could I even learn this stuff?
After doing some research, I found a surprising lack of information on the subject. I was frustrated with having to rely on someone else to optimize my soil, yet I did not see a viable way forward to educate myself on the subject. And then I discovered the Crescive mineral balancing course. Lo and behold, here was a class that not only offered exactly what I wanted to learn, but served it up on a silver platter. I’m amazed at Scott’s ability to break down information and present it in such a way that not only makes it interesting and easy to understand, but to my surprise, a great deal of fun!
In just a few weeks, I went from being intimidated by my soil tests, to being excited about them. Not only am I self-sufficient now when it comes to mineral balancing, but I greatly look forward to receiving my test results! On top of that, there is a wonderful, friendly, and very knowledgeable community of students (and teachers) helping each other further their knowledge on the forums, and through monthly meetings.
To me, this is what education is all about. It cuts through all the BS and goes straight to the good stuff. Whether you’re a hobbyist or large-scale commercial grower, I HIGHLY recommend this course for anyone looking to dive deeper into soil chemistry and mineral balancing. It is also the perfect complement to Sara’s microscopy course, which is another crucial component to high-performance living soil growing of any type. Major kudos to Scott and the Crescive team for offering this, you all rock!! "- Zuriah Shara
